Because of the Land Trust, I don’t have to move every year to find cheaper rent. Since I’ve been a homeowner, I have been more involved in my neighborhood. I have met my neighbors and we have become a support for one another.
Upon retiring as a Marine Corps officer in 2012, Nate was chosen to continue the growth of RMCLT based on his years of experience developing and leading teams and projects. His philosophy is in line with the previous Director’s ideology of hiring staff members based on their personality and ability to work in a team environment rather than focus on education. Nate has fostered RMCLT’s collaborative relationships with other non-profits in the housing sector of Colorado Springs, and works diligently to find new projects for both RMCLT and the collaborations.
