Why partner with Rocky Mountain Community Land Trust (RMCLT)?

  1. RMCLT provides access to home ownership for people who are otherwise priced out of the housing market.
  2. There is no approved realtor list.  RMCLT asks that all involved REALTORS attend a 1 hour orientation class with their client to learn about the program. Please contact Patricia at 719-447-9300.  Orientation is held twice monthly.
  3. 100% of RMCLT properties are purchased with REALTORS: 90% are found using the MLS and 10% are new construction by RMCLT. Click here to see the houses we currently have for sale.
  4. RMCLT partners with families to buy single family houses, townhomes, or condos.
  5. RMCLT brings in new business by helping low–income families purchase, who otherwise would remain as renters.
  6. Qualified buyers, with loan approval, can choose the house in the neighborhood they want to live (depending on funding).
  7. Qualified buyers are required to invest a minimum of 1% of the purchase price or $1,000 which ever is more.
  8. RMCLT has been a partner in 340 home ownership closings in El Paso County and Colorado Springs.  That’s a total purchase price of $30 million with potential realtor commissions of $2 million.
  9. When we develop our own affordable housing, we list the properties for sale through the local realtor community.
