RMCLT utilizes a scattered site approach to homeownership; our homes and families are scattered throughout the City of Colorado Springs and El Paso County. Homes are brought into our program in a few different ways:
Scattered Site — We encourage qualified families (including families of 1) to find a home in the neighborhood they want to live in, close to school, family, church, work, etc. The purchase price must be below $338,000 and the home must pass inspections, among other things. Scattered site funds are very limited at this time. Please contact Patricia at patricia@rmclt.org for more information.
New Construction — RMCLT also purchases infill lots and builds new construction in select areas. These homes have special funding and are built with energy-efficient features that homebuyers are unlikely to find in the existing housing market. Newly-constructed homes are listed here when they become available.
Resales — When families purchase homes through the RMCLT program, they agree to sell to low-income families who also qualify for the program. When a family is ready to sell their home, it is also listed here. These homes may already have special funding, so be sure to check them out!
Rehab Projects — Sometimes RMCLT purchases distressed homes in the community to rehab and resell through the Affordable Homeownership Program. Those homes are listed here when available.
